The work involves converting legacy documents into polished Word files, recreating complex layouts, and improving structure and clarity where document fidelity, consistency, and attention to detail are critical.
What You'll Do
- Convert legacy documents into modern, polished Microsoft Word files
- Recreate complex layouts, tables, references, and inline objects with high fidelity
- Apply consistent styles, templates, section structures, and formatting rules
- Refine documents for clarity, structure, and professional presentation
- Annotate edits and improvements using appropriate document review workflows
- Maintain accuracy across formatting, pagination, references, and embedded elements
- Deliver completed document artifacts according to project specifications and quality standards
Requirements
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Word, including styles, templates, sections, tables, references, and track changes
- Strong professional writing and document layout skills
- Excellent attention to detail and written English accuracy
- Ability to work independently in a remote, flexible-schedule environment
- Reliability in completing contract-based work according to project requirements
- Comfort working on document conversion, recreation, and refinement tasks
- Understanding of formatting precision, structure, and document fidelity
- Experience with professional documentation, technical documents, or editorial workflows preferred
- Experience using AI-assisted tools such as ChatGPT for document review or drafting support preferred
