The work involves analyzing pricing frameworks, licensing structures, customer purchasing behavior, and partner ecosystem economics within enterprise technology markets. Success depends on the ability to provide informed commercial perspectives grounded in real-world industry experience.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate enterprise software pricing models, packaging strategies, and licensing frameworks
- Provide insights into customer purchasing behavior and software procurement processes
- Analyze discounting approaches, contract structures, and commercial negotiation practices
- Assess renewal strategies, account growth opportunities, and revenue optimization methods
- Explain channel, distribution, reseller, and partner ecosystem economics
- Support analysis of competitive positioning across enterprise software categories
- Contribute expertise regarding enterprise software deployment and adoption decisions
- Review commercial trends influencing software vendor growth and customer acquisition
- Provide structured feedback on monetization and go-to-market approaches
- Collaborate with research and analysis teams to improve commercial market understanding
- Document findings, observations, and recommendations clearly and accurately
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise software commercial, pricing, licensing, procurement, or related functions
- Strong understanding of enterprise software pricing models and monetization strategies
- Experience negotiating, managing, or evaluating enterprise customer agreements
- Knowledge of licensing programs, subscription models, and contract frameworks
- Understanding of software renewals, account expansion, and revenue growth strategies
- Experience working with channel partners, distributors, resellers, or partner ecosystems
- Ability to discuss real-world commercial practices and market dynamics in detail
- Strong analytical, communication, and business judgment skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote contract environment
- Recent exposure to enterprise software commercial operations and customer engagements
- Experience supporting large enterprise customers strongly preferred
- Background in pricing strategy, commercial strategy, revenue operations, or deal desk functions preferred
- Experience within digital workplace, endpoint management, cloud, infrastructure, or enterprise technology environments preferred
- Experience with systems integrators, value-added resellers, software distributors, or enterprise IT organizations preferred
- Familiarity with AI-assisted productivity tools, including ChatGPT, preferred
