What You'll Do

  • Provide expert-level input on COBOL software development concepts and practices

  • Apply software engineering experience to support AI training and evaluation processes
  • Review technical scenarios and provide structured feedback
  • Document engineering decisions, approaches, and recommendations
  • Contribute to improving AI understanding of software development workflows

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with COBOL development
  • Experience working with enterprise software systems or legacy application environments
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, debugging, and problem-solving practices
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate technical solutions with attention to detail
  • Strong written communication skills for documenting technical insights
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment
  • Currently based in the United Kingdom with authorization to work remotely
  • Experience working at large-scale technology organizations or complex software environments preferred
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools or technical evaluation workflows preferred
