The work involves reviewing AI-generated content, evaluating narrative effectiveness, and providing detailed editorial feedback to improve structure, voice, coherence, originality, and thematic depth, where critical analysis and professional writing experience are essential.
What You'll Do
- Review AI-generated articles, essays, fiction, and long-form written content.
- Evaluate narrative structure, tone, style, pacing, and overall literary quality.
- Assess character development, dialogue, thematic consistency, and storytelling effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities to improve clarity, originality, and coherence.
- Provide detailed editorial feedback and actionable recommendations.
- Refine written content to align with high editorial and literary standards.
- Apply professional editorial judgment across multiple writing formats and genres.
- Maintain consistency and quality throughout assigned evaluation projects.
- Collaborate within structured project workflows while meeting quality expectations.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in creative writing, journalism, publishing, editing, or related literary fields.
- Significant portfolio of published work, including books, essays, articles, or recognized literary publications.
- Demonstrated expertise in narrative writing, storytelling, and editorial review.
- Exceptional command of writing craft, including structure, voice, dialogue, pacing, and character development.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating literary quality and providing constructive editorial feedback.
- Experience reviewing, editing, or developing long-form written content.
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment.
- Comfortable using digital collaboration and document management tools.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted writing tools, including ChatGPT, is preferred.
- Preferred backgrounds include novelist, journalist, essayist, short story author, book editor, acquisitions editor, developmental editor, literary agent, manuscript evaluator, literary scout, documentary writer, speechwriter, memoir ghostwriter, literary critic, or other experienced publishing professionals.
- Recognition through literary awards, fellowships, professional honors, or publications in respected journals, anthologies, or literary outlets is highly desirable.
