About the Role

A high-impact legal research initiative is seeking experienced Labor & Employment lawyers to contribute to the development and evaluation of employment law and workplace policy scenarios within an advanced AI-focused environment. This opportunity combines legal expertise with analytical review work in a structured, project-based setting.

This opportunity is ideal for US-qualified lawyers with substantial experience advising employers on workplace policies, compliance matters, employee relations, and employment law risks. Candidates should be comfortable applying practical legal judgment to complex workplace scenarios across different jurisdictions.

The work involves creating, reviewing, and evaluating realistic legal and HR policy content, assessing employment-related issues, and supporting the development of high-quality legal research outputs where accuracy, consistency, and subject-matter expertise are critical.

What You'll Do

  • Develop realistic employment law and workplace policy scenarios
  • Review and evaluate legal and HR-related content for accuracy
  • Analyze labor and employment law issues across workplace settings
  • Assess compliance considerations related to employer policies
  • Validate legal reasoning within employment law research materials
  • Review employee relations, disciplinary, and termination scenarios
  • Evaluate discrimination, harassment, accommodation, and retaliation policy frameworks
  • Contribute expertise on wage and hour compliance matters
  • Examine multi-jurisdictional employment law considerations
  • Provide subject-matter input on corporate workplace governance and policy development

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal qualification
  • Licensed and qualified to practice law in the United States
  • Current residence in the United States or United Kingdom
  • Professional experience within a Labor & Employment or Employment Law practice group
  • Experience advising on corporate workplace policies and employment-related compliance matters
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, workplace investigations, and HR policy frameworks
  • Experience reviewing employee handbooks and employer policies
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues with attention to detail
  • Strong written communication and legal reasoning skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote project environment
  • Availability for contract-based project work
  • Preferred: Experience advising multinational organizations on employment law matters
  • Preferred: Experience handling multi-jurisdictional employment law issues
  • Preferred: Experience at a leading law firm with a strong Labor & Employment practice
  • Preferred: Experience supporting legal research, policy analysis, or AI-related legal projects
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States or United Kingdom
  • Independent contractor engagement required
