Senior Labor & Employment Lawyer – AI Legal Research
About the Role
A leading artificial intelligence initiative is seeking experienced Labor & Employment lawyers to support the evaluation and development of legal and workplace policy content. The role focuses on applying legal expertise to realistic employment law scenarios and assessing the quality of legal analyses within structured research projects.
This opportunity is ideal for US-qualified lawyers with substantial experience advising on employment law, workplace compliance, and corporate HR policies. Success in this role requires strong legal reasoning, attention to detail, consistent judgement, and the ability to evaluate legal content against established standards.
The work involves creating, reviewing, and assessing employment law scenarios, workplace policies, and legal analyses across a range of corporate matters. High-quality legal analysis, practical judgement, and consistency in evaluation are critical to success.
What You'll Do
- Create and review realistic employment law and workplace policy scenarios.
- Evaluate legal analyses and policy documents using structured assessment criteria.
- Assess workplace policies for legal accuracy, consistency, and compliance considerations.
- Review employee handbooks, HR policies, and corporate employment documentation.
- Analyse matters relating to workplace investigations, employee relations, and policy implementation.
- Evaluate legal reasoning across multi-jurisdictional employment law scenarios.
- Provide detailed written justifications supporting legal evaluations.
- Incorporate reviewer feedback and maintain consistent assessment standards throughout the project.
Requirements
- Qualified to practise law in the United States.
- Currently based in either the United Kingdom or the United States with legal authorisation to work in the respective country.
- Professional experience in Labor & Employment or Employment Law.
- Experience advising on or reviewing corporate workplace policies.
- Strong knowledge of employment law compliance, HR policies, and employee relations.
- Experience with workplace investigations, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, accommodation, wage and hour compliance, disciplinary matters, or termination issues.
- Ability to evaluate complex legal materials with accuracy and consistency.
- Excellent written communication and legal drafting skills.
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote contract environment.
- Preferred: Experience supporting multinational organisations or advising on multi-jurisdictional employment law matters.
- Preferred: Experience with legal content review, AI evaluation, legal research projects, or human-data annotation initiatives.
- Preferred: Familiarity with AI productivity tools, including ChatGPT or similar generative AI platforms.
