Remote Gastroenterologist – Medical AI Data Specialist

The work involves reviewing and annotating medical records, validating AI-generated outputs, and contributing to guideline-aligned datasets where clinical precision and consistency are critical to model performance.
What You'll Do
- Review and annotate clinical narratives, EHR records, and endoscopy reports related to gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions
- Identify and validate diagnoses, treatment plans, procedural findings, and clinical outcomes
- Audit annotated datasets for accuracy and alignment with established gastroenterology guidelines
- Evaluate AI-generated clinical recommendations for diagnostic and therapeutic validity
- Define annotation standards for complex GI conditions and edge cases
- Provide structured feedback to improve AI model reasoning and patient safety outcomes
- Review AI-generated summaries, interpretations, and procedural analyses
- Contribute to documentation, onboarding materials, and specialty-specific annotation protocols
Requirements
- MD or DO with specialization in Gastroenterology
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology
- Active U.S. medical license in good standing
- Minimum 5 years of post-fellowship clinical experience
- Experience with endoscopy, inpatient consults, and complex GI or hepatology cases
- Strong familiarity with EHR systems and clinical documentation standards
- Ability to interpret and structure complex clinical data accurately
- Interest in medical AI, clinical informatics, or data-driven healthcare systems preferred
- Availability for part-time engagement (up to ~10 hours per week preferred)
