Private Equity Research Consultant
About the Role
A leading AI research initiative is seeking experienced private equity professionals to support the development and evaluation of advanced AI systems operating within investment and financial analysis workflows. The project focuses on enhancing AI capabilities across real-world private markets research, transaction evaluation, and investment decision-making scenarios.
This opportunity is ideal for professionals with direct private equity experience who possess strong analytical skills, financial judgment, and the ability to work independently on complex assignments. Candidates with expertise in transaction analysis, market assessment, or investment diligence will be particularly well suited.
The work involves creating, reviewing, and refining investment-related materials used to evaluate AI performance in private equity contexts. Success requires attention to detail, rigorous financial analysis, and the ability to communicate investment insights clearly and effectively.
What You'll Do
- Perform financial modeling and investment analysis activities
- Conduct market sizing, industry research, and total addressable market assessments
- Prepare investment summaries, analytical reports, and decision-support materials
- Review and evaluate due diligence documentation
- Develop and refine transaction-related case studies and evaluation frameworks
- Analyze commercial opportunities, risks, and value creation initiatives
- Support investment research and strategic assessment projects
- Process and assess transaction documentation and business information
- Contribute expertise to AI evaluation and training initiatives involving private equity workflows
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience within private equity or closely related investment environments
- Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities
- Experience conducting market research and market sizing analyses
- Ability to prepare investment memoranda, summaries, and analytical presentations
- Experience supporting due diligence processes and transaction evaluations
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently in a remote project environment
- Availability to commit at least 10 hours per week
- Eligible to work remotely from one of the approved countries listed above
- Experience reviewing transaction documents, CIMs, or investment materials preferred
- Exposure to deal sourcing, opportunity screening, or pipeline development preferred
- Familiarity with AI-assisted research, financial analysis, or productivity tools preferred
- Availability for an initial engagement period of at least four weeks preferred
