Legal AI Reviewer & Annotation Specialist
About the Role
A large-scale legal AI initiative is seeking experienced legal professionals to support the development and evaluation of advanced AI systems trained on complex legal reasoning and drafting workflows. The work focuses on improving how AI models interpret legal language, analyze documents, and generate accurate, jurisdiction-aware outputs across multiple practice areas.
This opportunity is ideal for lawyers and legal specialists with strong expertise in corporate law, intellectual property, litigation, contracts, regulatory law, or related disciplines. Professionals with experience in legal drafting, document review, and analytical writing will be particularly well aligned with the role.
The work involves reviewing and annotating legal materials, evaluating AI-generated legal outputs, and producing structured written explanations where legal precision, confidentiality, and analytical consistency are critical.
What You'll Do
- Review, analyze, and annotate legal documents for AI training workflows
- Evaluate AI-generated legal content for accuracy, consistency, and jurisdictional alignment
- Identify nuanced legal language, drafting patterns, and substantive legal issues across multiple practice areas
- Produce clear written explanations and rationales for legal conclusions and document interpretations
- Contribute domain expertise to improve legal reasoning quality in AI systems
- Collaborate with legal professionals and cross-functional technical teams to improve data quality
- Maintain high standards of confidentiality and professional judgment when handling sensitive information
- Work independently within remote asynchronous project environments
- Support structured legal evaluation and annotation workflows with attention to detail
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD), LLB, or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution
- Strong professional experience in one or more legal domains including corporate, intellectual property, litigation, contracts, or regulatory law
- Demonstrated expertise in legal analysis, drafting, and document review
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical reasoning abilities and exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in remote environments
- Commitment to confidentiality, ethical judgment, and professional standards
- Comfort collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams and structured review workflows
- Remote work capability with reliable availability for project-based work
- Preferred: Experience with legal technology platforms, AI-assisted legal tools, or NLP-related workflows
- Preferred: Multi-jurisdictional legal experience or multilingual capabilities
- Preferred: Familiarity with structured annotation, evaluation rubrics, or AI systems such as ChatGPT or related legal technology tools
