What You'll Do
- Develop and execute comprehensive external communications and public relations strategies.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, industry analysts, creators, and other key stakeholders.
- Secure earned media coverage across digital, print, broadcast, podcast, and social media channels.
- Develop messaging for product launches, partnerships, corporate announcements, and strategic initiatives.
- Support executive visibility through media interviews, speaking engagements, bylined content, and thought leadership opportunities.
- Prepare briefing materials and communication strategies for executive engagements.
- Manage relationships with external communications agencies and strategic partners.
- Lead crisis communications and rapid-response messaging when required.
- Monitor communications performance and recommend continuous improvements.
Requirements
- Significant experience leading corporate communications or public relations within high-growth technology organisations.
- Proven success securing high-quality media coverage and developing long-term media relationships.
- Experience leading communications for product launches, partnerships, and major corporate announcements.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and storytelling abilities.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to simplify complex technical topics for diverse audiences.
- Experience managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
- Strong stakeholder management, vendor management, and partnership development skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to work on-site in San Francisco, California.
- Preferred: Experience in artificial intelligence, developer tools, enterprise software, or B2B SaaS.
- Preferred: Experience working with distributed or global teams.
- Preferred: Experience managing crisis communications and corporate reputation initiatives.
- Preferred: Familiarity with AI productivity tools, including ChatGPT or similar generative AI platforms.
