What You'll Do

  • Oversee implementation and maintenance of PII compliance controls and data protection practices
  • Evaluate data flows, records, and documentation to identify privacy risks and structural identifiability concerns
  • Classify and assess personal data processing activities for regulatory compliance
  • Develop, review, and update data privacy, governance, and compliance policies
  • Collaborate with legal, operational, and technical teams to strengthen privacy controls
  • Deliver guidance and training on sensitive data handling and privacy best practices
  • Support investigation, documentation, and remediation efforts during privacy-related incidents
  • Maintain records of processing activities and compliance documentation
  • Monitor adherence to applicable privacy regulations and internal standards
  • Recommend risk mitigation measures while preserving data usability and business requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in PII compliance, data privacy, or related governance functions
  • Strong understanding of GDPR and personal data protection principles
  • Experience managing complex or non-obvious PII scenarios and privacy risk assessments
  • Knowledge of data management practices, including data minimization, anonymization, or generalization techniques
  • Ability to identify and evaluate re-identification risks within datasets and workflows
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience handling sensitive or confidential documents
  • High attention to detail and commitment to compliance standards
  • Ability to work independently within a remote and structured project environment
  • Familiarity with privacy incident response and remediation processes
  • Experience balancing regulatory requirements with operational needs
  • Preferred: Background in finance, healthcare, corporate governance, or other regulated industries
  • Preferred: Knowledge of international privacy regulations beyond GDPR
  • Preferred: Professional certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or equivalent privacy credentials
  • Preferred: Experience using modern productivity and AI-assisted tools in compliance or documentation workflows
