About the Role

A legal AI research initiative is seeking experienced transactional and corporate law professionals to support the development of advanced reasoning systems for complex commercial and legal workflows. The focus is on improving how AI models interpret, analyze, and respond to corporate legal scenarios.

This opportunity is designed for legal practitioners with experience in M&A, corporate governance, contracting, and transactional advisory work. Candidates who can translate real-world legal reasoning into structured analytical outputs will be well suited for this role.

The work involves designing realistic deal scenarios, producing expert-level reference legal analyses, and evaluating AI-generated outputs against established legal and commercial standards where precision, clarity, and doctrinal accuracy are essential.

What You'll Do

  • Design realistic transactional and corporate legal scenarios including M&A, governance, and contract structures
  • Draft expert-level reference responses reflecting attorney-grade legal reasoning
  • Evaluate AI-generated legal outputs using structured evaluation rubrics
  • Provide detailed written feedback to improve model legal reasoning and accuracy
  • Translate complex legal workflows into structured, machine-readable evaluation formats
  • Participate in calibration and onboarding sessions with research teams
  • Ensure outputs align with established corporate law and transactional best practices
  • Review scenarios involving contracts, disclosure schedules, securities filings, and due diligence workflows

Requirements

  • 1–4 years of experience in transactional or corporate law practice
  • J.D. (US/Canada) or LL.B./LL.M. (UK) from an accredited institution
  • Active or inactive bar membership in the US, Canada, or UK
  • Experience in M&A, corporate governance, contract drafting, or due diligence workflows
  • Strong written communication skills with high attention to legal precision
  • Ability to apply structured legal reasoning consistently across scenarios
  • Experience working independently in remote or asynchronous environments
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical judgment in legal interpretation
  • Preferred: Experience with private equity, venture capital, or fund formation
  • Preferred: Exposure to securities filings, SEC reporting, or disclosure processes
  • Preferred: Familiarity with virtual data room platforms (e.g., Intralinks, Datasite)
