Cardiology AI Clinical Reasoning Specialist (Contract)

A high-impact healthcare AI initiative is seeking experienced cardiology professionals to support the development of advanced clinical reasoning systems. The work focuses on improving the quality, accuracy, and evidence-based decision-making capabilities of next-generation AI models within cardiovascular medicine.
This opportunity is ideal for board-certified cardiologists, subspecialty cardiology physicians, eligible fellows, and qualified late-stage trainees who possess strong clinical judgment and a deep understanding of current cardiovascular guidelines and standards of care.
The work involves creating realistic clinical scenarios, evaluating AI-generated medical reasoning, producing expert-level reference answers, and delivering structured feedback. Success in this role depends on clinical accuracy, analytical thinking, and the ability to communicate complex medical concepts clearly.
What You'll Do
- Design realistic cardiology case scenarios based on clinical practice
- Develop high-quality reference responses aligned with evidence-based standards
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs using structured assessment frameworks
- Assess clinical reasoning related to acute coronary syndromes, arrhythmias, heart failure, cardiac imaging, and other cardiovascular conditions
- Identify inaccuracies, omissions, and guideline deviations in model responses
- Provide detailed written feedback to support model improvement
- Participate in onboarding activities and calibration sessions
- Maintain consistency and quality across assigned evaluation tasks
Requirements
- Board certification in Cardiology with an active, unrestricted medical license (for attending physicians)
- Final-year cardiology fellow status or equivalent board-eligible qualifications where applicable
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based cardiovascular medicine and clinical guidelines
- Experience managing complex cardiology cases in a clinical setting
- Ability to analyze medical reasoning and evaluate clinical decision-making
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment
- Availability for approximately 20 hours per week, with potential for increased engagement based on project needs
- Eligibility to work as an independent contractor in the approved locations
- Proficiency with digital collaboration tools and online work platforms
- Preferred: Subspecialty expertise in Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Heart Failure/Transplant, Cardiac Imaging, Adult Congenital Cardiology, or Pediatric Cardiology
- Preferred: Prior experience reviewing, annotating, evaluating, or training AI systems
- Preferred: Familiarity with AI-assisted tools and platforms, including ChatGPT or similar technologies
